Deborah Nott Psychology
A clean, calming website for an Educational and Developmental Psychologist serving children, teens, and families across South Melbourne.
The challenge
Parents searching for a child or teen psychologist make decisions quickly — often during a stressful moment, often on a phone. The site needed to feel calm, qualified, and human in the first few seconds, and to make every next step (assessments, therapy, contact) obvious without making the visitor read a brochure.
The previous setup didn’t reflect the warmth of the practice or surface the specific services families were searching for.
Approach
I led with photography that locates the practice in South Melbourne and pairs it with confident, restrained typography. The navigation is structured around what parents actually want to find: information about the psychologist, the assessment process, the therapy approach, and how to make contact.
Each service area gets its own page so it can be independently indexed and ranked for the queries families are typing into search — not just “psychologist” but “child psychologist South Melbourne”, “developmental assessment Victoria”, and similar long-tail terms.
Result
A site that signals expertise and care without being cold, and that’s structured for both Google’s local search and AI search engines to surface when families look for support.
